Sip ‘n’ See vs Baby Shower
Monday 7th August 2017 - Saffron
Baby showers have been around for a while now and they are a lovely way to make a fuss of a mum to be and literally ‘shower’ her with gifts for the impending bundle of joy.
Usually organised by best friends and family, games are played, presents opened and of course cake is a must.
But recently a new craze is sweeping the country and that’s a Sip ‘n’ See and if I’m honest I think it makes much more sense!
So what is a Sip ‘n’ See?
It kind of speaks for itself, instead of a baby shower before the baby arrives it’s a get together of all your girlfriends after the baby is born so instead of having numerous visits from excited well-wishers and guests you get it all done in one!
Your guests literally ‘sip’ bubbles, tea or punch and ‘see’ the lovely new arrival.
Sip ‘n’ Sees are usually organised by your friends or family and often held at a close friend’s home or other venue so you don’t even need to worry about tidying up.
Gifts are generally more suitable as the baby will have a name and the gender known, plus you’ll know the kind of things you need for your new-born.
With plenty of willing hands to hold your new bundle of joy you won’t have to worry about a thing and maybe get to sip some bubbles yourself.
You could get your organisers to theme your sip ‘n’ see with baby cakes or cupcakes and why not try a new cocktail such as a ‘Mum-osa’ (see what I did there?)
